WSUD SubDivisions

Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) is a mindset that attempts to minimise the impact of development on the natural environment. In reality it is a watered down version of Ecological Sustainable Development (ESD) that was originally flagged as a concept to save the planet in the late 80’s.

In a previous Role I was pivotal in developing Australia’s first large scale adoption of this concept in developing the HASSALL’s 150 Lot Sub Division at East Bowral. This was the first of such developments to include, NO Kerb & Gutter, Grass Swales, Rain water Tanks, Infiltration Tanks & Trenches.
